![]() ![]() I so wanted this to work as I do a lot of tracking for real estate video and it would have been a huge time saver. The fact is 3d tracking is quite complex conceptually and executionally and it doesn't look like this problem has been cracked - yet. And even then people are getting dodgy tracks - probably because the algorithm cant yet replace a human that knows to remove tracks that follow, for example, a gleaming highlight that moves on a reflective surface, the water, trees moving in the wind etc etc All of which have to be removed to lock down your solution so it looks convincing. For some reason Mtracker 3d seems to take ages to crunch the data. Syntheyes will track and solve a 15 second scene in a matter of seconds (once its set up)- allow a few minutes for tracker deletion and refinement and you are good to go. In fact for someone like myself that knows Syntheyes reasonably well i would say better results can be gained there. I had a look and joined the Facebook groupĪnd what i am seeing is a whole bunch of very average tracks - its certainly not a click and forget process.
